As for me I can’t see a single moving part inside any electronics. I suggest, if there aren’t any moving parts inside then I can ascertain for sure that it’s absolutely dead thing, so called corpse. I really don’t know how this damn stuff operates! And I have no desire to figure out how it operates. I’m not interested in this dead damn electronics. Now let’s get back to our mechanical little beast which is probably waiting for us with desire on the table. Unlike electronic corpses, everything placed inside of it is alive. You can see a magic world of constantly moving different parts. They are gears, pallets and springs. I’d like to stress that I consider springs to be especially similar to human muscles. And of course you can hear the sound of this “body functioning”. If you see all of this for the first time, it will be rather difficult for you to figure out the basic operating principle of this mechanism. As for me I didn’t read any kind of books regarding the clock operating principle. I took another way to discover how it functions. Moreover, you can also use this method. So I just sat down to my table and started to stare at the clock which had been already disassembled. As you now I could see then numerous rhythmically moving gears and other parts. I had to sit for a long time, looking at the mechanism. Then I started to understand that there was a certain logic in these movements and shiftings. It was rather thrilling to be a silence spectator having an opportunity to explore curious things. A spring after being squeezed is going to straighten once again and this impulse of energy is going to push numerous gears.
I’m going to present one very ancient clock to my closer friend. In a month he will celebrate his 20th anniversary. I consider this gift to be quite reasonable solution, because any anniversary indicates time running. That’s why this clock is what he need. It will start counting time left for the next anniversary. And they will meet this next event together : he and his mechanical “alive” pet.
